Road Scholar sure keeps us busy !

This morning we walked over to the Sky Tower and saw a lot of the charming streets and alleys on the way.  Melbourne is definintely designed for pedestrians.  Lots of stuff to do on foot.  Free trams that run up and down the major streets.   Trying to get used to traffic ( and pedestrians ) sticking to the left.  Streets are crowded and it doesn't help when you lean to the right to avoid people and they lean to the left.  Reminds me of the Wayside School rule: go up on the left and down on the right.  What can go wrong with that strategy ??

The Sky Tower was really impressive.  Seeing the city from such a high vantage point made me realize how large the city is.  Since we are mainly walking everywhere, I had seen only the local stuff.

The guides left us there with instructions on how to make it back to the hotel.  We did some shopping ( bought some new sandals ) and had lunch on our way back.  Now we have a very brief time here to chill before we take a bus to the 'penguin parade' on the coast.
